Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if the river levels are high?
We prioritize safety above all. Ideal race flows are between 1000 and 4000 cfs. Certain alterations are necessary as river levels rise:
-
At 4000-6000 cfs, advanced racers must not run Ned's Needle through Boulder Drop
-
At 6000-8000 cfs, the advanced race will start below Boulder Drop
In the event that levels exceed 8000 cfs, the race will be canceled. We also reserve the right to cancel the event at any time for any reason, if we deem it necessary for the safety of spectators, volunteers, or racers. Thank you for your understanding!
Are there special requirements for racers under 18?
Yes. Racers under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian to sign waivers in advance of the race.

Where do I go?
Come to Index, WA. Our shuttle drivers will make sure you get to the river from there. Please do NOT drive your own vehicle to the river during the race. There's limited space and highway 2 is busy.

What kinds of swag are ya'll giving away?
We've got it all! From boats to nose plugs, our sponsors, and donors have hooked us up with so much quality gear, that every racer/volunteer will be able to get something good.
